Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia Built in Depok
West Java Province, will have the International Islamic University of Indonesia (UIII). Later, with the university, Indonesia will become one of the centers of Islamic education in the world.
According to the Regional Secretary Jabar Iwa Karniwa, West Java Provincial Government (West Java Provincial Government) immediately formed a campus acceleration of land acquisition. The formation of this team, following up the letter of the request of Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Syaifuddin on West Java provincial government on 21 November.
"The letter is essentially a request for the formation of an integrated team to handle the social impacts and socialization of UIII's development project," said Iwa, at Gedung Sate, Bandung, Monday night (27/11).
According to Iwa, the formation of this team is a direct direction from President Joko Widodo considering the establishment of UIII became one of the basic and urgent needs. "Hope Pak President there is an Islamic education center in Indonesia that is of international caliber," he said.
The location of UIII project itself, he said, will be built in Depok precisely in the former RRI land area of 142.5 hectares. On the land is currently standing a number of buildings that have long lived by about 746 families. West Java provincial government, will help fully complete this land acquisition in a persuasive way. "We hope that people can understand this UIII recall for the greater interest," he said.
Iwa explained that Depok was chosen as the location for UIII considering the availability of the land owned by the state is very wide. In addition, the location of the campus made strategic for easy access from the capital city. But related to the budget size, Iwa claimed authority and calculation into the central realm. "Later in the next meeting there will be the amount of its members," he said.
Based on the letter of the Minister of Religious Affairs, said Iwa, besides the provincial government, the parties will be involved starting from the City Government of Depok, Kodam Jaya, Polda Metro Jaya to the Agency for Financial and Development Supervision up to the Police level security apparatus. "It will be involved also the element of the prosecutor's office, this is in line with the letter of the Minister of Religious Affairs," he said.
In fact, he said, West Java provincial government has also consulted about the land in the Regional Office of the National Land Agency (BPN) Jabar. "So, the Regional Office of BPN has also given some guidance regarding the legal umbrella that will be used, and from the institutional side the draft will be processed," he said.
The government, he said, targeted the campus could be built starting 2018 considering the Ministry of Finance has allocated the budget. West Java provincial government, is currently following up the formation of teams where Bappeda Jabar will arrange the schedule to the institute structure. "It will be directly signed by the Governor," he said.
Iwa hopes, Depok City Government can help fully the preparation of the land. One important point, is the Depok City government apparatus to ensure there are no new buildings on this ex RRI land. "Do not suddenly new people appear, the field will be done by Depok, Provincial Government supervise and fully support, we are targeting this land acquisition soon," he said.
Related to the draft compiled by Bappeda Jabar, according to Iwa, he targets to be completed next week for subsequent intensive discussion. Iwa also ensured that UIII's development project is important as the Government has included it in national strategic projects.
